Peach is set to rule the wedding circuit
Pantone released it's colour of the year for 2024 and its "Peach Fuzz"! This warm, bright and inviting colour is about to take the wedding circuit by storm this spring and summer, as couples dive head first into colourful designs. Known for its vibrant, youthful and elegant tones, the colour peach is perfect for weddings. From floral tablescapes, to bridesmaid dresses, to bridal glam, peach is versatile and complimentary to any season.
Let's take a look at some ways to incorporate Pantone's colour of the year into your big event!
Fresh & Artificial Blooms Used in Bold Ways
What better way to showcase the colour of the year than with over the top florals! Bold, colourful and vibrant hues are sure to make a statement. Use these at your ceremony space for a eye catching backdrop, on your reception tables to brighten up your venue, in your bouquet and even in your grooms boutonnière.
If you want to create a really dynamic and aesthetically pleasing design, try to incorporate varying shades and tones of peach. From vibrant to muted, mixing up the colour range gives you a luxurious and elevated display. Let's be honest, fresh blooms can get expensive, so here are a few ways to utilize this floral approach in your big day.
1. Reuse & Rotate
Multi-purposing your floral displays in varying settings is a cost
effective way to incorporate florals into your design.
2. Pick Seasonal Blooms
Choose blooms that are in season based on your geographical area and availability. If you want peach peonies and it's the middle of winter they will be at a premium for your florist to ship them in from other parts of the world. One of my favourite dupes to the peony, for cost, is the garden rose. This particular bloom has multiple layers of petals similar to a peony but holds the shape of a rose. We also love Icelandic poppies, dahlias, and ranunculus, if you are looking for delicate and romantic blooms available in varying peach tones. Carnations and spray roses are another cost effective bloom if you are set on using fresh.
3. Incorporate Artificial
There are some amazing real silk artificial flowers out there than can fool the best of us. These cost effective blooms can help you create over the top displays, for a fraction of the cost of real flowers. Think towering columns or that perfect archway at the end of the aisle. Don't get us wrong they do carry a price tag, but mixing artificial with fresh, is a great way to add volume into your design while watching the bottom line.
The Softer Side
Want to embrace the colour of the year but prefer a more delicate approach?
Pair soft muted peach hues with whites and ivory. Limit your greenery and let the blooms create a soft romantic aesthetic that everyone will love. When used with an all white colour palette, the soft peaches will shine through. Looking for a bit more colour? Add some coloured stemware, linens or place settings for the perfect touch.
Let Your Glam Do The Talking
Want a more editorial look. Elevate your bridal glam and have fun with peach, orange and coral hues. Don't be afraid of embracing colour for a truly breathtaking bridal look. Trust your artist when it comes to picking the perfect shade for your skin tone. We love this peachy coral eye with a coral or pinky lip. Add some gloss for that dewy look. PEACH PERFECTION!
